Square Enix will run a Final Fantasy Record Keeper 10th Anniversary Cafe in Japan. The company will temporarily offer menu and merchandise based on the mobile game and its characters at Artnia starting in late September 2024, then running until early November 2024.

The merchandise lineup will feature Tetsuya Nomura's illustrations and pixel sprites of all mainline series protagonists from the first game in the series up until Final Fantasy XVI. Prices will range from 594 yen (~$4.15) for a random character's acrylic badge to 3,850 yen (~$26.95) for a tote bag decorated with pixel sprites of all key characters. Visitors can also receive a bonus coaster mat for every 3,000 yen spent on either the cafe menu or store merchandise.

Most of the menu will be available for the whole event duration, but Square Enix will change a few of them in the middle. The Chaos Afternoon Tea set that depicts Chaos and Golbez's dessert servings will only be available until October 16, 2024. Square Enix will afterward replace it with the Record Keeper Afternoon Tea set for the remainder of the event.

Final Fantasy Record Keeper appeared first in Japan in September 2014. While Square Enix also launched a global version of the mobile game in March 2015, it closed the latter in September 2022. The original Japanese release remained intact as it reached its tenth anniversary in September 2024.

The Final Fantasy Record Keeper 10th Anniversary Cafe will be available at Artnia Square Enix in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan, from September 21, 2024, until November 12, 2024.

The classic Yu-Gi-Oh games on Nintendo's Game Boy handheld consoles that featured the likes of Yugi and Seto Kaiba will be playable again on the Nintendo Switch and PCs. Konami will include the titles into the Yu-Gi-Oh Early Days Collection and release it not only in Japan, but also in North America and Europe.

When Konami first revealed the compilation in February 2024, it announced that the 2000 Game Boy Color title Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 4: Battle of Great Duelists and the 2001 Game Boy Advance entry Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 6: Expert 2 would be part of the compilation. The company has since announced that the compilation will have more than ten classic titles. It also newly added the following titles to the list:

• Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters - for Game Boy in 1998
• Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters II: Dark Duel Stories - for Game Boy Color with Game Boy backward compatibility in 1999
• Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories - released exclusively for Game Boy Color in 2000

Konami will also bring physical releases of the compilation's Nintendo Switch version both in Japan and the West. Each package will also contain a random bonus card. While the company has yet to reveal the card in the Japanese releases, it has confirmed that the North American and European releases of the physical compilation will come with one of the following two art versions of the spell card Harpie's Feather Duster.

Yu-Gi-Oh Early Days Collection will be available on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. Konami will announce the compilation's release date at a later time.

Nintendo revealed a new collaboration in Japan, which involves Suntory's drink bottles being decorated with Splatoon 3 characters. The company also confirmed that Suntory has released the bottles in stores across Japan in limited numbers. This also means there is a chance people could see them in Asian grocery stores in other regions eventually.

Suntory features five kinds of drinks in this collaboration. The 600ml Pepsi Big Zero Lemon drink is one of them. The remaining four drinks are the C.C. Lemon (500ml), Dekavita C Power (500ml), Pop Melon Soda (600ml), and Natchan Ringo (425ml). Each bottle has two design variations featuring different Splatoon 3 characters.

The specially branded drink bottles will not be the only items in this Splatoon 3 collaboration. People who get four of the above bottles in a single purchase can receive a bonus clear file while stocks last. They can also use the same receipt to enter a sweepstake that will reward an MA-1 jacket to 500 lucky winners after it closes on October 31, 2024.

While the specially branded bottles are new, the Suntory crossover campaign is not. The company has been running a collaboration with the Nintendo Switch game since mid-July 2024. In the first wave that ran until August 2024, people could purchase any four of the company's bottles to get a Splatoon 3-branded tote bag while entering a sweepstake for pairs of T-shirts for adults and children.

The Splatoon 3-branded Suntory drink bottles are available for purchase in stores across Japan while stocks last. Splatoon 3 is available on the Nintendo Switch.

Acryl Complex and U Products have revealed "Sea of souls," a new craft cola themed after Atlus' video game Persona 3 Reload. The companies have also opened orders for the cola product on the latter's web store.

As the product title suggests, this craft cola will depict the sea of souls that exists inside the protagonist of Persona 3 Reload. The ingredients used to produce the blue cola are granulated sugar, apple juice, cinnamon, cardamom, clove, butterfly pea, rosemary, black pepper, ginger, table salt, and chili pepper.

A bottle of this craft cola costs 2,980 yen. It will contain 180 ml (~6 oz) of the cola, and its expiry date will be set for a year after production. People who reside outside Japan can also place orders via the WorldShopping widget at around $20.80.

Many companies in Japan have been producing merchandise inspired by Persona 3 Reload, which has been available worldwide on the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC since February 2024. The companies range from the Japanese branch of the German footwear brand Puma to the local company Statso, which is producing new chibi Onemutan figures. In the meantime, Atlus is working on releasing the Episode Aigis DLC on September 10, 2024.

A new Seiko watch branded with Konami's Tokimeki Memorial game franchise will appear to help celebrate the latter's 30th anniversary. Pre-orders for the watch are immediately available on the Japanese web store Premico.

Seiko will decorate the new watch with elements from the first-ever Tokimeki Memorial game. The top 12-o'clock side will have a Kirameki High School emblem, while the bottom 6-o'clock side will have the number 30 to mark the anniversary year. The blue dial will also have a silhouette of Shiori Fujisaki under the legendary tree next to the "forever with you" text.

The watch will be encased in a Tokimeki Memorial-branded box. Seiko will also feature Shiori's artwork on the box's inner side and warranty card.

The watch is available to order with a tax-inclusive price tag of 54,780 yen (~$381.30). However, the watch will only be available in limited amounts in accordance with the anniversary year, as only 2,024 units will be produced.

This Seiko watch will appear as part of celebrations of the Tokimeki Memorial series' 30th anniversary. Konami held a live concert featuring all Japanese voice actresses from the first game in May 2024. The company later revealed Tokimeki Memorial: Forever With You Emotional at the August 2024 Nintendo Direct. The remaster of the series' inaugural game will appear with a new modern art option on Nintendo Switch in 2025 in Japan.

Premico will start shipping the Tokimeki Memorial 30th Anniversary Seiko watches in early May 2025.

Sony Interactive Entertainment revealed via the Japanese PlayStation.Blog that it is gradually releasing six video game soundtracks on digital music platforms like Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Spotify in early September 2024. The company will include soundtracks from classic titles like the Arc the Lad series, Wild Arms, and PoPoLoCrois Story.

The Arc the Lad soundtracks are headlining the lineup in this announcement. The Arc the Lad Sound Track Complete is now available on Spotify. Its original physical album consisted of two discs that respectively contained tracks from the 1995 RPG and its 1996 sequel Arc the Lad II.

Sony will also add the Wild Arms Complete Tracks album to the digital platforms. The album features tracks from the PS1 RPG that came out first in Japan in 1996. The other classic game joining the digital soundtrack list will be PoPoLoCrois Story, which also came out in 1996.

The above three classic titles will not be the only soundtracks Sony will release on digital platforms in early September 2024. The company will also include the original soundtrack of Shadow of the Colossus, the 2005 PS2 game that also received a remake on the PS4 in 2018. The 2015 PS4 entry Bloodborne and its DLC expansion The Old Hunters will complete the lineup.

Arc System Works has confirmed its appearance at the Tokyo Game Show 2024 by opening a new official webpage. It revealed that there will be playable demos of three games, including Double Dragon Revive, at the Arc System Works TGS 2024 booth.

The full list of games that will have demo builds at the event comprises Double Dragon Revive, the Nintendo Switch port of Guilty Gear Strive, and River City Saga: Three Kingdoms Next. The latter is an upcoming sequel to the Chinese Three Kingdoms-based spinoff of the River City series, which Arc System Works will release simultaneously worldwide on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam on November 7, 2024. Those who visit the booth and play the demos will be able to receive memorabilia based on each title.

Arc System Works will also hold talk show events at its booth. It will cover Under Night In-Birth II Sys:Celes in addition to the above three titles. People who cannot attend TGS 2024 in person will be able to watch live streams of the talk shows on the company's official YouTube and Twitch channels.

In addition, the company will set up a goods shop at Sanwa Denshi's booth in the TGS 2024 merchandise area. The lineup will have items featuring Guilty Gear Strive's post-launch characters. Prices will range from 1,200 yen (~$8.40) for Omamori charms to 2,000 yen (~$14) for acrylic stands.

Tokyo Game Show 2024 will take place at Makuhari Messe on September 26-29, 2024. Arc System Works will place its TGS 2024 game demo booth and merchandise shop in Halls 8 and 11, respectively.

Capcom has launched a new Cap Kuji Online lottery that features merchandise from the Mega Man Battle Network series. People can purchase lottery tickets that cost 880 yen (~$6.15) each for a definite chance to win a random item based on the game series.

The grand prizes of this lottery will be the big Capcorom plushes of Hub Style and Dark MegaMan.EXE. With a size of around 30 cm (~11.81 inches), these plushes will be larger than the ones available for purchase in Capcom's Japanese physical stores.

Here is the complete list of prizes in this Kuji lottery, along with the winning probability for each tier. The chance to get an exact item will have to be divided even further based on the tier's probability and the number of item varieties in the same tier.

Nintendo has revealed that it will hold a quiz test related to Pikmin 4 in Tokyo, Japan. The test's title will be Pikmin 4 Dandori Kentei 1, and the company will hold it in late November 2024.

People can register to participate in the test for free, although they still have to pay public transportation fees to reach the venue at Tokyo Dome City. However, the venue can only host a finite number of participants. Nintendo also requires registrants to have a Nintendo Account with a playing record of Pikmin 4 on the Nintendo Switch. If the registration limit has been reached, the company will manually select the eligible participants.

The venue will also have a photo spot where visitors can take pictures with characters from Pikmin 4. Nintendo will also hand over score certificates to all participants after the test has concluded. In addition, the company will give extra reward items like an A4 clear file, a mini towel, and a T-shirt to those who manage to record a high score.

The first Pikmin 4 Dandori Kentei quiz test will be held at Tokyo Dome City's Prism Hall on November 23-24, 2024. Registrations for the test are open until October 23, 2024.

Mages has revealed the opening movie and theme song for Rent-A-Girlfriend: The Horizon and the Girlfriend in the Swimsuit. The Japanese voice actresses behind all five main heroines of the franchise will perform the song. Players will be able to watch the movie and listen to the song when they boot up the visual novel game on the Switch or PS4.

The new song is titled "Cider no Mukou," which can also be translated to "Beyond the Cider." Yuuho Kitazawa composed the song and wrote its lyrics, while Ryo Eguchi arranged the music. The five Japanese voice actresses who also become the singers of this song are as follows:

After initially announcing the project in July 2024, Mages later revealed that the player will take the role of the series protagonist Kazuya Kinoshita, who can also choose the heroine he wants to focus on interacting with.

Rent-A-Girlfriend: The Horizon and the Girlfriend in the Swimsuit will appear on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in Japan on November 28, 2024.

Nihon Falcom has just confirmed the appearances of even more characters in The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki ~Farewell, O Zemuria~. Shizuna Rem Misurugi, Celis Ortesia, and Rion Balthazar are among the list of existing series characters who will make their return in Kai no Kiseki.

Shizuna is one of the key characters in the Trails through Daybreak sub-series, where she had appeared since its first entry. Meanwhile, the Dominion knights Celis and Rion made their latest appearances in Trails through Daybreak II, which is also the direct prequel to Kai no Kiseki.

Shizuna, Celis, and Rion will not be the only characters who return in Kai no Kiseki. Professor Latoya Hamilton, who also raised Quatre Salision, will also appear in the new entry.

In addition, Nihon Falcom also confirmed the appearances of the swordmaster Yun Ka-Fai and the shinobi Kurogane. The latter is highly tipped to become the next leader of Ikaruga, the group where Shizuna is currently affiliated as its vice-captain.

The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki ~Farewell, O Zemuria~ will be available for PlayStation 5 and 4 in Japan and East Asia on September 26, 2024.

SNK has revealed that it will release two physical compilations of classic Neo Geo arcade titles for Nintendo Switch in Japan. The Arcade Archives Neo Geo Selection will be available in two volumes in December 2024.

Each volume will contain exactly ten titles each, so this compilation will feature twenty titles in total. The lineup will also include the first two King of Fighters and Samurai Shodown titles based on the series' chronological timeline order. Each volume will also have a Fatal Fury and Metal Slug entry.

SNK has no plans to release the compilation digitally because the titles are already available for individual purchases on the Nintendo eShop at 838 yen (~$5.85) each before discount sales. Each of the physical compilation volumes will cost 5,940 yen (~$41.50).

Takara Tomy revealed via its official Zoids X account that it has opened pre-orders for the Spider-Zoids Synergenex action figures. The company will release the crossover toys featuring Zoids and Spider-Man in April 2025.

The new action figure will appear in two color variants. The first one will sport Spider-Man's regular red-and-blue palette, and the other will be mostly black. With a scale of 1/35, the Spider-Man figure will be around 50 mm (~1.97 inches) tall when he stands up by himself. Meanwhile, the Spider-Zoids will have an overall length of around 115 mm (~4.53 inches).

The company did not specify a website in its announcement tweet. However, pre-orders for the action figures are available on web stores like AmiAmi. Both the regular and black variants have the same MSRP of 4,400 yen (~$30.79), but AmiAmi is offering discounts so people can order each of them at just 3,520 yen (~$24.49) apiece.

Spider-Zoids was one of the numerous products Takara Tomy announced when it revealed its new crossover toy brand Synergenex in late August 2024. The company will release crossover action figures between Zoids and Transformers, along with many more external franchises, such as Godzilla, Macross, and Monster Hunter.

G-Mode has released ports of Bokujo Monogatari Mobile: Live & Love in Japan. The entry, which is part of Marvelous' game series now known in English as Story of Seasons, originally appeared for feature phones in 2007. The new ports are now available digitally on Nintendo Switch via the Japanese eShop and PC via Steam.

Even though the Steam page also has an English description, the port is only available in Japanese. This feature phone game has the same protagonists who appeared in titles like Harvest Moon: Back to Nature and Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town. While the player can choose either gender version of the avatar, the game has a different set of characters who are available as marriage candidates.

In addition, this game also features the protagonist's mother who will live with them in their house. The player can have the mother cook a meal for the protagonist, and they can also ask her about the relationship levels with available marriage candidates.

G-Mode has also uploaded a trailer showcasing Bokujo Monogatari Mobile: Live & Love on its YouTube channel:

G-Mode has been gradually porting its classic feature phone games to the Switch and PC. The company was recently known for porting mobile games featuring side stories of Atlus titles like Megami Tensei in 2022, Revelations: Persona in 2023, and Persona 3 in 2024.

A new holo indie game has appeared on Steam. The game's title is Holo Pop, and it is a Peggle and pinball-like game that features Hololive Vtubers.

This game primarily features three Japanese Vtubers from the group. They are Sakura Miko, Shirakami Fubuki, and Oozora Subaru. After choosing a Vtuber, the player will have to aim and shoot a finite amount of balls from above to hit as many objects as possible with ricochet effects.

Some of the stages in Holo Pop will have special gimmicks that reward more points when hit. The Vtubers will also have specific skills that improve their gameplay, such as shooting five balls in one go. The game's development studio HappyHoppyHappy is also holding a temporary leaderboard for players to compete with their high scores from the game's launch until December 5, 2024.

The new indie PC game is available worldwide with a price tag of $3.99 in the US. Even though the Steam Page has a description of the game in English, the actual game only supports Japanese text at launch.

Cover has been helping indie developers release Hololive-themed indie games on Steam via its holo indie brand. It released DUEHOLO and Miko Sniper in June 2024, as well as Hololive Treasure Mountain in August 2024.

Holo Pop is now available on PCs worldwide via Steam.
